Duration

This is a half day course starting at 09.30 GMT and finishing at 13.00 GMT. There will be a 15 minute break mid morning.

Pre-requisites

This course is for garden and landscape designers who are familiar with Vectorworks, but want a recap of how to create planting plans. We will assume you know how to draw and transform a variety of shapes, understand the use of snapping, layers and classes, are familiar with the Resource Browser and are able to create and publish sheet layers. Please consider our Introduction to Vectorworks course if these workflows are unfamiliar to you.

Getting started

It is essential that you have Vectorworks Landmark installed and running prior to the course. We cannot help you with software installation, if you have any difficulties with this please contact Vectorworks UK.

The course will be run via Zoom. You will need a stable, reliable internet connection to view the course, which is run online.

Course structure

This course is divided into a series of demonstrations and class exercises. As tempting as it is to follow the tutor - selecting tools and drawing as they draw - you are more likely to miss details this way (even if you have two screens), as you will be concentrating on your own work and not the tutor. There is a lot to cover in a day and the demonstrations will run quite quickly to leave as much time as possible for class exercises.

We provide a comprehensive course manual and recommend you concentrate on the demonstrations and make any additional notes by hand.
